Skip Sizes in Falkirk & Central Scotland
Quick Skips Falkirk offers skip hire in Falkirk and Central Scotland with six sizes to suit every project. Our 4 yard midi skip is ideal for small bathroom or kitchen refits and garden clearances. The 6 yard builders skip is the all-rounder for medium home projects and trade jobs. The 8 yard large skip suits major renovations and full house clearances, and the 12 yard maxi is for bulky, light-weight loads like office strip-outs. For big clearances we also offer a 14 yard enclosed, lockable skip and an 18 yard skip — both for light waste only.
Prices are on application — they depend on the size, your area and what's going in, so tell us and we'll quote. Skips are delivered between 8am and 6pm Monday to Saturday. The standard hire period is 5 days, and longer hire can be arranged. If you need a road permit for your skip, you are responsible for arranging this with your local council — visit our roadside permits page for more information.
We offer skips for both general waste and soil or hardcore. General waste skips can accept most household and building waste, while soil and hardcore skips are for heavy materials like earth, rubble, concrete and bricks. Check our what can I put in a skip page or our restricted items page for details on what is and is not accepted.
Not sure if you need a skip? For smaller amounts of waste, our man & van waste uplift service might be a cheaper option. We load and remove your waste in a single visit — no skip, no permit, no waiting.
What skip size do I need?
For a small bathroom refit or garden tidy-up, a 4 yard midi skip is usually enough. Medium renovations and clear-outs suit a 6 yard. For major projects or full house clearances, choose the 8 yard. For bulky but light loads, the 12, 14 (enclosed) and 18 yard skips give you the most room.
Do I need a permit for a skip?
If your skip is placed on a public road or pavement, you need a road permit from your local council. If it's on your own driveway or land, no permit is required. You are responsible for obtaining any required permits.
How long can I keep the skip?
The standard hire period is 5 days. If you need longer, just say when you request your quote and we'll arrange it.
Where do you deliver skips?
We deliver across all FK postcodes — Falkirk, Bonnybridge, Stirling, Cumbernauld, Larbert and Grangemouth — plus G67/G68 in Cumbernauld.
